Incident Report #25 1972

25 Five students from Nottingham, set off with other people to walk from Great Langdale, to Scawfell Pike, about 10 a.m. that morning. At 8 p.m. the same day they were reported as missing. As the team were all assisting in the Rescue No. 24 the roads were then searched to Eskdale, and enquiries made in Eskdale and Wasdale, with a negative result. A search was then made of Mickledon and as far as Esk Hause, returning about 4 a.m. Another search was commenced at 7.30 a.m., and called off at 8 a.m. when the party got down to Brotherilkeld, Eskdale. None the worse.
