The Base, vehicles & Equipment
The base in Ambleside is the operations centre, housing the garage, operations room, communications and computer rooms, as well as a kitchen and rest room if needed by friends or family of victims. There is also a forward base in Great Langdale
The team runs four landrovers - two main rescue vehicles, one all-purpose standby and one converted as an ambulance . .
. . and includes members of the Search & Rescue Dogs Association. Dogs are used routinely for 'missing persons' incidents
	Main rescue vehicles are equipped with full paramedical equipment, including diagnostics which monitor the casualties condition en route to hospital.
