Although Mo started going out on rescues with the Team in 1970, she didn't actually become a team member officially until 1973. This was because up until about this time, females were not accepted as Team members!! (Oh, how things have changed!!) Some rubbish about women would want to get on the committee and would talk too much - as if!! It was another 15 years before we got another female team member.
Mo has served as Equipment Officer, Committee member, sorted pagers, and one of the advanced medical group.
Mo was awarded an MBE for her mountain rescue work in 2010.
